Vision and Foundation

Our Vision

At Highlands Latin Cincinnati, we seek to equip and encourage homeschooling parents through the use of a time-tested cottage school model.  By combining the individualized beauty of homeschooling with the order and discipline of a traditional classroom, we hope to partner with parents in providing their students with a top-notch classical education.  Through the use of the Memoria Press curriculum, we offer a variety of core subjects, as well as enrichment options, that provide structure and effectiveness to homeschool planning. We also desire to connect families to one another, forming a community of homeschoolers dedicated to a classical, Christian education that honors and glorifies God.

Our Foundation

Scripture is woven throughout our curriculum, and a Biblical Christian worldview provides the very foundation of everything we say and do at HLC. Colossians 3:17 represents our goal as HLC staff…”Whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”  We believe that godly character is shaped through a relationship with Jesus Christ and that the Bible is the true, inerrant word of God. By locking arms in a partnership with families, we seek to display a godly, Christian worldview at HLC that will reinforce and allow you to continue your discipleship with your children, both in your home and through your local church. We strive as a staff to model Christ to our students and provide them gospel explanations to the HLC Code of Conduct, which we respectfully require all students to abide by.
